We sincerely appreciate your efforts on voters’ education and information, especially your site which publicized Resolution 8218. Two days of registration have passed, and these are the feedbacks we got from constituents who, unfortunately, were not able to register as new voters. OEO is Makati District 2 in the Makati Central Fire Station Bldg.
1. applicants in excess of 100 were advised to go home, as your personnel say that they can only handle that much for the day (Sunday, July 15)
2. student-applicants who had their school IDs were told to secure NBI or police clearances
3. a student who did not yet have his school ID, but was accompanied by his mother who is a registered voter for purposes of identification as per Resolution 8218 was still turned down due to reasons only your EO duty-personnel knows.
We hope that this can be ironed out soonest.
Brgy Secretary Tony V
P.S. I also talked to a cousin who is a Barangay Kagawad in Gumaca, Quezon, who says they have not received your guidelines on this registration. Is the problem with the DILG? or in the municipality/city concerned? I would presume that it is not with your Office.
Thank you again, and God bless!
