Cross posted from the blog of the Stakeholder Conference, here.

The Invitation Letter:

The Commission on Elections will be conducting a Stakeholders’ Conference from the 10th to the 12th of September 2007, at the Wack-Wack Golf and Country Club, Mandaluyong City. Themed “The Ills of the Electoral System:  Definitions, Analysis, and Recommendations,” this Conference will be an ideal opportunity for all stakeholders to come together in the spirit of true cooperation and to share their observations – and recommendations – on the electoral system.

It is my distinct pleasure to invite you or your representative, on behalf of the Commission, to join us at the Conference.  I strongly recommend that your designated attendee be able to present your organization’s position and attend the scheduled workshops.  In this connection, please be informed that participant organizations are expected to deliver a 10 minute presentation of their official position on the subject matter of the Conference.  An advance copy of the position paper to be presented should be sent via e-mail to comelecstakeholder@gmail.com on or before the 31st of August 2007 for, documentation purposes.

Kindly furnish our Secretariat – at telephone numbers 527-08-21; 525-92-94; 525-93-01 or via email at comelecstakeholder@gmail.com – with the names and designations of your organization’s representatives to the Conference on or before the 31st of August 2007.
